At Hope 4 Liberia, farming is more than a chore — it’s a life lesson. Last week, we had the joy of harvesting peanuts that our children planted with their own hands several months ago. The excitement in their eyes as they pulled those peanut plants from the soil was priceless. It wasn’t just about the harvest — it was about seeing the fruit of their labor and understanding the reward that comes from patience, diligence, and teamwork.
This simple garden project was the idea of one of our older girls, Dorcas, who took the initiative to lead the younger children in planting a small peanut garden right in our yard. What started as a casual afternoon activity soon grew into a learning experience for everyone involved. With guidance from our caregivers, the children learned how to prepare the soil, plant seeds, and keep the garden weed-free.

When harvest day arrived, their joy was uncontainable. They proudly gathered the peanuts, brushing off the dirt, and celebrated their teamwork. It was more than a harvest — it was a valuable life lesson. In that garden, they learned about stewardship, responsibility, and the biblical principle of sowing and reaping.

Galatians 6:7 reminds us: “A man reaps what he sows.” And here at Hope 4 Liberia, we’re sowing seeds not only in the soil but in the hearts of these children — seeds of character, hope, resilience, and faith.
As a ministry, we believe it’s vital that our children grow up understanding the value of hard work and the beauty of God’s provision. Projects like this are part of our long-term goal to cultivate a self-sustaining community, where farming and other practical skills support both our homes and the wider community.
We’re so grateful to each of you — our faithful donors and partners — for making moments like this possible. Your prayers and support provide opportunities for these precious children to thrive in ways that go beyond education and daily meals. You’re helping to raise a generation rooted in faith, life skills, and godly wisdom.
Thank you for standing with us as we nurture both young hearts and the land beneath our feet.
Together, we grow.
