Guiding Hearts Not Just Actions

Controversial but true… Raising kids to love Jesus will require you to parent differently than the culture does.

Let’s break this down in a simple way.

The world teaches kids one way to live—but God teaches us a different way. If we want children to truly love Jesus, we can’t just follow what everyone else is doing. We have to teach them God’s way.

In Romans 12:2, the Bible says not to copy the world, but to be changed by God. That means we choose what is right, even if it’s different.

Here’s what that looks like:

1. We dress modestlyThe world says, “Show your body to get attention.”But God says your value comes from your heart, not your body.So we teach our girls to dress in a way that is respectful and honors God.

2. We are careful about dancingDancing can be fun, but some movements focus too much on the body in a wrong way.We don’t want kids to learn to get attention by moving their bodies in a sensual way.We want their joy to be pure and pleasing to God.

3. We focus on the heartGod cares most about what’s inside us.If a child loves Jesus in their heart, they will start to act right on the outside too.

In Matthew 7:24, Jesus says a wise person builds their life on a strong foundation. We are helping children build their lives on Him.

4. We put Jesus firstThe world cares about popularity, looks, and fun.But we care most about helping children know Jesus and follow Him.

So yes—we do things differently. Not because we want to be strict, but because we love these children and want the very best for them.

We are helping them grow into strong men and women who love God… and that will always look different from the world.
