Celebrating the Advent of Christ: Our Journey with the Jesus Tree

The Christmas season is here, and at Hope 4 Liberia, we are filled with joy as we reflect on the Advent of Christ—the greatest gift of all! This year, the children have been eagerly participating in a special activity called The Jesus Tree. Every morning, we gather together to hear Bible stories that lead us through the lineage and promises that point to the coming of Jesus.

Each story represents a step on the journey of redemption, and the children take turns placing symbolic pictures on the tree. Today, it was Andrew’s turn. His face lit up as he carefully placed the ornament, marking another chapter in this unfolding story of grace and salvation.

Auntie Janelle, who leads the activity, has been faithfully sharing these stories with the children, helping them connect the dots between the Old Testament promises and their fulfillment in Jesus Christ. The Jesus Tree isn’t just a fun activity—it’s an opportunity for the children to understand the deep meaning of Christmas, one story at a time.

At Hope 4 Liberia, we believe in nurturing not just the physical well-being of the children but also their spiritual growth. This Advent season, our prayer is for each child to see the love of God and His plan for their lives in every ornament they hang on the tree.

We are so grateful to our sponsors and partners for making moments like this possible. Your prayers and support allow us to create meaningful traditions that remind these children of God’s unchanging love.

As we journey toward Christmas Day, we invite you to pray with us that the children will not only celebrate the birth of Christ but also come to know Him personally as their Savior. May this season fill your hearts with joy and wonder, just as it does for the children here at Hope 4 Liberia.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
