Hello again,
As I stated in my last post, one of my favorite Bible verses is, Lamentations 3:22-23.
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
A couple of my favorite songs are – Great Is Thy Faithfulness and Goodness of God. They both speak to the verses in Lamentations 3:22-23. I am so thankful for the faithfulness of God. I can testify to His great faithfulness and goodness.
My late husband and I were pastors for 26 years, then he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and died within 5 weeks from the diagnoses. During that time of grieving, I really noticed the verse from Psalm 56:8 which says, “You keep track of all my sorrows, You have collected all my tears In your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” This verse was a comfort to me, God knows me inside and out and He knew each tear that I cried. We have a wonderful Heavenly Father who loves each one of us and knows when we are experiencing deep grief, and He knows when we are experiencing the heights of joy. He is a good God who is faithful and compassionate. He is loving and kind. I have experienced the faithfulness of God and that His compassions never fail.
My favorite verse from the hymn “Great is Thy Faithfulness” is – “Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide, Strength for today and a bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine with 10,000 beside.” These are such wonderful words of assurance that God is with us – He forgives our sins and gives us peace, He brings comfort and guidance, He gives us strength for today and hope for the tomorrows. I am excited to see what He will do in and through us as we minister with Hope 4 Liberia. God has “plans for a hope and a future” to the orphans at Hope 4 Liberia.

Over the next five months, Jim and I, will be making decisions and rearranging our lives so that we can go to Liberia in October and stay there for six months. We are excited about this opportunity and are trusting God to work all things out to His glory and honor. Here are a few prayer requests as we start to prepare for this transition –
Foster home for our dog while we are gone.
Rent out our home for the six months we are gone.
Finish the house we are remodeling and to sale it.
