Yesterday, our farm workers and two of our children from Hope 4 Liberia had the incredible opportunity to visit Liberia International Christian College (LICC) in Ganta, Nimba County. This was more than just a tour; it was a transformative experience that opened doors for learning and growth—both for our farm and the future of our children.
At LICC, we were introduced to their innovative agricultural program, “Farming God’s Way,” a regenerative farming system designed to care for the land and increase productivity. This approach not only focuses on the technical aspects of farming but also integrates biblical stewardship principles. Seeing this firsthand was an eye-opener for our team, as it showed us new, sustainable methods that can help us improve the farm back at the orphanage.
The trip wasn’t just about the present—it was about instilling a vision for the future in the hearts of our children. Having the opportunity to tour LICC’s agricultural facilities allowed them to see what is possible through dedication and hard work. More importantly, it gave them a glimpse of how farming can provide a stable, independent future. This aligns perfectly with our mission at Hope 4 Liberia—to prepare these young lives to become responsible, self-sufficient individuals who can positively contribute to society.
Our CEO Kelly Wagner also joined us on this trip, using the occasion to build a meaningful connection between Hope 4 Liberia and LICC. Networking with Pastor Bill, who eagerly shared his wisdom and insights with us, was a major highlight of the day. His enthusiasm was contagious, and we left feeling inspired and motivated to implement what we’ve learned on our own farm.
We believe this is just the beginning of a valuable partnership that will not only enhance our farming efforts but also broaden the horizons for the children we care for. With the right support and resources, we can continue to teach our children valuable life skills, preparing them for a future filled with hope and opportunities.
At Hope 4 Liberia, we are committed to investing in the future of our children by teaching them principles of independence, responsibility, and godly stewardship—values that will equip them to be leaders in their communities. We thank God for this experience and look forward to seeing the fruits of this learning grow in the days ahead.
