From Thrift Store to Orphan Care
Updated: Feb 22, 2022
Today was yet another reminder of the goodness and faithfulness of God. He has the power to bring believers together from all corners of the world to fulfill His ministry; that is exactly what we experienced today. My mom (Kelly Wagner) and I had the privilege of presenting our Hope 4 Liberia ministry to a group of lovely United Methodist women whose desire is to make an impact in other people’s lives. We left there feeling blessed by the fellowship and also encouraged and spurred on because of their support of this calling the Lord has placed in our lives.
This is a faith journey. There seems no other way to put it. We’re fully relying on the Lord to meet every need that is placed before us. Some of which sometimes appear to be a mountain that feels almost impossible to climb. But, I’m reminded of the verse in Matthew chapter 17, which says…“for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”
Did you see that last part? Nothing will be impossible with you. Wow. What a thought!
So, with faith and trust in God, we press on, knowing that the mountain of overwhelm, the mountain of fear, the mountain of weariness…they all will be moved, in the name of Jesus. We can be confident that as long as we remain faithful in what He has in-trusted to us, the Lord will continue to bless and provide in ways we could never possibly imagine!
My dear friend, you can be part of this mountain moving ministry! I thank the women of the McCook United Methodist church today for stepping along side of us in this way! These women have an amazing ministry utilizing an amazing thrift store that I would highly recommend checking out if your ever in the McCook area. It’s run by a group of devoted women who volunteer their time to make the store thrive. I was amazed walking through as realizing what a big deal it is. The best part of it was that all of the proceeds go towards missions, both locally and globally! It was truly incredible to see their heart for the Lord and serving Him!
I also want to praise the Lord for people like you who are willing to give of yourselves to further the Kingdom of God! May God bless you all!
